How to Find Us
Float Level is located in the New Islington Area of Manchester in the unmissable Chips Building just off Great Ancoats Street.
It is a short walk from Piccadilly Station and the City Centre and a stone's throw from Northern Quarter.

On Foot
If you are not near the train station (directions from there left), you should head on to Oldham Street in the Northern Quarter and walk the length of this until you are by the Frog and Bucket Comedy Club. Turn right up Great Ancoats Street and walk for approx. 10 mins. You will pass the retail park on your left hand side and should take the first left after the retail park which is Old Mill Street. The Chips building is then visible on the right hand side after a short distance.
By Car
From the main city centre ring road seen below, continue until you are on Great Ancoats Street. If coming from the South, look for the retail park coming up on the right hand side and take the first right alongside Argos. This is Old Mill Street. The Chips building is on the right hand side after a short distance. If coming from the North, you will drive past the retail park on your left and take the first left after the retail park which brings you on to Old Mill Street. The Chips building is on the right hand side after a short distance. Please note: the main car park area is now closed. Parking areas are highlighted in red on the map below.
By Train
Ensure you get a train to Manchester Piccadilly. When you arrive at Manchester Piccadilly, locate the escalators down to the taxi rank. When you come out by the taxis, turn right and walk along the back of the station, over the tram lines and turn right on to Store Street. Once on Store Street, continue heading away from the train station for approximately 5 mins when you will reach Great Ancoats Street by the retail park. Continue across the road on to Old Mill Street and you will see the Chips building on your right (You can't miss it!).
By Metrolink
Hop on a tram to the New Islington stop. The stop is just opposite the Chips building and is just a short walk from there to Float Level.
Parking Areas
As of 1st June 2017, the main car park at float level is permanently closed. you can however find the following parking areas in the vicinity outlined in red above:
- Area A is situated at the back of Ancoats Retail Park
- Area B is located in the centre island of Old Mill Street
- Area C is located by the New Islington Metrolink stop off Pollard Street
- Area D has now been double yellow lined and is not recommended
